Those involved with the Arrzaneth Ossuary (Thaumaturge's Guild) would know that she is often sought out for her knowledge in the occult. She seems to have a specialty in the Void and Mhach.While not surprising, Sunsgerel is frequently found at the Goldsmith's Guild delivering Pearl Appeal wares for the jewelers.As she is the owner of Seashells & Seaspells, Sunsgerel is often found diving in various seaside locations. Anyone who has hung around docks or beaches could recognize her.

The Monsaran

The age of the Monsaran tribe has yet to be determined by scholars. Some of the tribe's artifacts date back to the earliest evidence of Xaela habitation on the Steppes. While some scholars believe that the Monsaran may of originated as an offshoot of the Kagon, the only notable similarity between the two tribes is that they both worship the moon (Nhaama). Otherwise, there's very little between the two tribes that share a distinct traditional origin. Scholars do, however, agree that the tribe dates back to more ancient periods in history. The reason the tribe lacks note on the documented 51 tribes is due to the reclusive nature and separation from the Azim Steppes.The Monsaran is known for being one of the more peaceful tribes very rarely (if ever) participating in tribal wars or tribal disputes. For this reason, tribes on the Steppe often traveled to the Monsaran grounds to host negotiations on neutral ground. The journey was often only done at night and took the tribes the length of one full moon to the next.Alongside being a neutral ground for tribes to work out political quarrels, the Monsaran are famous for their seaborn trinkets and pearl jewelry. Enchanted jewelry is made by the Shulam and she only supplies it to those she deems worthy (often through bringing superior quality trade items). It is considered a great honor to be made enchanted jewelry by the Shulam and is rarely given to those not holding a prestige position within their tribe (such as Khan or Udgan). As mentioned prior, they're also quite famous for their pearl jewelry, often found displayed on those with the bank (gil or hefty trade). More 'common,' trade is their sales of shells, fish, and other sea-related items.

- Xaela Tribes :: If your character is a Xaela, or associates heavily with Xaela tribes, they likely have heard of the Monsaran and may of interacted with the tribe.
- Foreign Merchants :: If your character is a business-person who has exquisite taste, they may have traded with the Monsaran in the past. While this is primarily for Far Eastern merchants, the occasional Near East and Eorzean business-person traveled to the grounds.
- Shulam of the Monsaran :: As the Shulam of the Monsaran, Sunsgerel acts as the leading figure of spiritual matters. She has made a bit of a name for herself in regards to the metaphysical. If your character seeks assistance with: spirits, dreams, or lunar/sea -based magicks she's probably your girl.

Midnight Pearl

It all started with one amazing man. Perhaps not even he knew the respect he gained or the consequences for soaring on the wings of perfection. Captain Absolonloix Beaureux arrived in Limsa Lominsa with a charming disposition and coin from a family in far lands. Without hesitation, his first purchase had been a cruiser. His mistress became known as the Midnight Pearl and over time her reputation grew to lay claim to one of the few princesses of the sea.In times of impending darkness, there are few who go against the bounds that life restricts us with. The Midnight Pearl is founded upon creating a sanctuary for those who cannot face the realm's turmoil alone. They offer a group of steadfast characters who will do everything in their power to see serenity come to a world of horror. They are protectors of the social, natural, and material worlds. They are leaders in war and in health. But, perhaps more than anything: they are genuine, dedicated, and a guiding light away from the cruelties of the realm.The Midnight Pearl is a group of good intentioned characters. We are a collection of storytellers looking towards furthering personal and company roleplay. The Midnight Pearl is founded upon inclusion and is built with family in mind. It is for this reason that the guild has a limited amount of slots available for recruitment. Our stories include battling the grimdark aspects of the XIV continuity (Imperials, the void, and other blackmarket themes), assisting the Grand Companies with bounties and other leves, rescue and rehabilitation, and business. Beyond the stories that are member orientated we also host a variety of socials and community events that are more upbeat in nature.

- Sanctuary :: The Midnight Pearl is a renowned sanctuary. Their primary operation is protection for the less fortunate. If your character is seeking an occupation regarding protection, adventure, or liberation, the Midnight Pearl might be for them.
- Anchor of the Midnight Pearl :: Sunsgerel is the Anchor of the Midnight Pearl (the leader). She was raised to leadership by the former-Luminary, Simi Jinkjahl, and has served the sanctuary for the last three turns. In her time of leadership, she has successfully established healthier relationships with the tribes of Eorzea, culled voidsent threats, and was a leading figure in the Resistance during the Liberation of Ala Mhigo (see: Lore Established; The Resistance). Furthermore, Sunsgerel established connections with the Doman Enclave for the Midnight Pearl, and assisted with the reclamation project.

The Resistance

Less a single entity so much as a loose collection of scattered factions vying for the liberation of Ala Mhigo, the Ala Mhigan Resistance has toiled to liberate their homeland for the past twenty-five years—first against the tyrannical rule of Theodoric and now against the Garlean Empire. The largest and best-equipped faction of the resistance is based in Rhalgr's Reach, located within the ruins of the Fist of Rhalgr's former temple. Led by Conrad Kemp, they stage assaults on imperial holdings and lend aid to citizens languishing under imperial oppression. While there are many Ala Mhigan Highlanders among the Resistance, they account for less than half, joined by Hellsguard Roegadyn, Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te, and even members of the Vira tribe of Ananta.

- A Familiar Face :: Sunsgerel has been a part of The Resistance prior to the main push at the end of the Dragonsong War. Connected to a faction leader named, "Apsel Hallowhands," Sunsgerel has always been regarded with respect if not confusion. How the Xaela happens to know Apsel remains a mystery alongside why she was so passionate about the liberation of Ala Mhigo.- Attack on Rhalgr's Reach :: Sunsgerel was present for the attack on Rhalgr's Reach. While wounded, the Xaela was quick to focus on tending to her brothers & sisters in arms. Shortly after, she called the entirety of the Midnight Pearl to fight in the liberation efforts.- The War for Ala Mhigo :: The leading figure, Sunsgerel Monsaran led the Midnight Pearl into war. While they primarily fought under Apsel's branch of the resistance, the Pearl was often found in the Reach when they were not pushing on the front lines or running supply caravans.

The Maelstrom

The Maelstrom is one of the three Grand Companies of Eorzea. The Maelstrom's base of operations is located in the Maelstrom Command in Limsa Lominsa. At the heart of the Thalassocratic Navy lies the Lominsan Armada, composed of nine independent squadrons, the First through the Ninth. The Maelstrom is an extension of the First Squadron, expanding its role as armada flagship and granting it power to administer not only the remaining eight squadrons, but the various merchant fleets that navigate the seas off Vylbrand. With the reestablishment of the Maelstrom, the admiral has also begun the move to invoke ancient maritime law, by which she would promote herself to Chief Admiral. Her authority covers state and military dealings and grants her the power to directly command all ships in Lominsan waters.

Points of Interest ::
- Leader of the Midnight Pearl :: Sunsgerel's relationship with the Maelstrom is minimal but positive. As the leader of the Midnight Pearl, she is primarily contacted when someone is imprisoned who may be salvageable through an indentured servitude program. Given the Pearl's prestige, she is regarded with respect, and operations done under the Midnight Pearl's banner are sanctioned by those with utmost authority within the Grand Company.- Disappearing Reports :: Every so often, Maelstrom members that turn in reports regarding the Midnight Pearl, find that while those reports are accepted they mysteriously vanish. Whenever inquired into, the intelligence division tends to dismiss concerns.- Co-Allegiances :: The Midnight Pearl's prominence with the Maelstrom occasionally leads to members of the Grand Company officially joining sanctuary operations. Furthermore, Sunsgerel has established a few loyal associates in the Maelstrom proper.

The Gilded Pony

The Gilded Pony was a prominent burlesque & entertainment establishment. Known for creative themes and detailed, multi-bell performances, it was truly a sight to behold.

Points of Interest ::
- Performer :: Sunsgerel served the Gilded Pony for a turn as one of its performers. Some of her more famous performances were the Gilded Pony's All Saint's Wake event and its Gilded event.- Intelligence :: During her time in the Gilded Pony, Sunsgerel associated with the Doman intelligence project that operated within the shadows of the burlesque club.- Unfamiliar Resume :: Sunsgerel's rise to fame in the Gilded Pony was sudden. Having seemingly never performed on Eorzea before, no one really knows where her experience came from.

Going Solo

Aspirations for going solo became more prominent around the time the Gilded Pony decided to close its doors. Sunsgerel has since performed at several community events.

- Thaliak's Embrace :: Sunsgerel performed in nearly every Thaliak's Embrace event. While the restaurant has since closed its doors, its former owners remain a reference.- Bandee Pakshee :: Sunsgerel has performed for the ever-wonderful Bandee Pakshee. Her most notable performance being Bandee's Diwali.- Cat's Meow :: During their Spring Music Festival, Sunsgerel was counted amongst the performance roster. Her performance in the event earned her an article in the news source, "The Crystal Chronicle," before its closure.

In recent years, Sunsgerel Monsaran has been the hostess for the event, and made the efforts to try and draw in more-and-more booths every turn.- Orphanage Sponsorship :: Designed to fund the less fortunate, the LLD-CBB has sponsored an orphanage every turn. The last couple of summers it has funded the Moonlight Reverie. Though, it is always seeking other orphanages to assist yearly.- Clothing Sposorship :: Everyone should feel like royalty during Little Ladies' Day. Khurim Sunsun

Khurim Sunsun is a traditional Monsaran event that honors the time period in which the veil between the realms of life and death is at its lowest. Join us in honoring our ancestors, remembering our loved ones, banishing those who would dare claim the living too soon, and welcoming the dark.

- Yearly :: The Khurim Sunsun is a yearly festival hosted by the Monsaran in partnership with the Midnight Pearl. Priests, shamans, shrine maidens, udgan, and other spiritual leaders are encouraged to join us this evening to offer blessings, connect the living to the dead, and banish maliciously inclined spirits.- The Wandering Bells :: Not all those who wander are lost, but perchance, these spirits are. Khurim Sunsun hosts the living and the dead at its harvest potluck. There is plenty of food to delight in, ranging from vegetarian delights to big hunt cuisine; there’s a little something for everyone!- Spooky Booths :: Vendors and game hosts alike are more than welcome to set up during this event! - Decorations :: seashells (worm snail, wentletraps, coffee bean, scalop, mother of pearl, abalone), pearls, small anchors, quartz, and coral. Some items like necklaces have preserved sea entities including: starfish, sea snails, and sea slugs. Some are styled like a terranium while others are clear. These products come with little notes that read, 'Collected Deceased; No Creatures Harmed.'

- Details :: These fabrics are handmade through a secretive, tribal process. They're a durable fabric that's lightweight and easy to dye. They take a little practice to learn to sew but create the most exquisite attire sought by common and noblefolk, alike. Fabric comes both Processed (fiber that has been through processes that allow it to be spun or to knit/crochet/weaved; also known as raw) & Virgin (new fiber made into fabrics, or garments for the first time).
- Texture :: All these fabrics are softer than their more mundane counterparts. Sea silk is even "silkier," than silkworm-created fabrics and holds a higher luster.
- Color :: All fabrics come in an assortment of greens, blues, and purples. There are a few pieces in pink and yellow. There are a couple of yards of undyed fabric (which is a faded-silver, naturally).

- Details :: Available as leather or hide, "sea leather" is just the skin from various seaside creatures. Examples: Sea Serpent, Gigantoad, & Gyuki.

The Blue Kojin and Sunsgerel have a kinship. When in the Ruby Sea, Sunsgerel always makes a point to visit them. Beyond a strong friendship, they have a healthy working relationship. Sunsgerel often assists with their projects in trade of trinkets.

The Sahagin

Sunsgerel is extremely close to Novv's Nursery and is often found there when not working on her various projects. Like the Kojin, she also has a working relationship with the tribe, but she is regarded more like family with the Sahagin.Sunsgerel's defense of Novv's Nursery has occasionally put her in dispute with local Yellow Jackets. Furthermore, she has been an advocate of Sahagin rights and has pushed the Maelstrom into giving the Sahagin more rights.
